If you modify the existing styles, is it just for the current document or does this stay for all the documents you work on the future? |
You have the option to do either. If you select Only in this Document the style change will only apply to this document. If you select New Document Based on this template then every new document will contain the modified style. Here is the dialog window. |
How is he keeping the format painter engaged after he does the first paste of the format painter? I always have to go back up and click format painter again. |
The trick here is to double click on the format painter. It will then stay on until you hit the escape key. |
When you modify the normal font, would it change the header fonts too? |

Any tip to modify format when combining various parts (different styles) into one document (copy and paste)? |
That is a challenge. What I do is clean up my styles, so I only have my master list of styles. Then I need to go through the document and re-select the styles as required. |
Does the Proofing option work in Outlook? |
Yes, it does. Step 1: Enter the Outlook Options window; Step 2: Click the Mail button at left bar in Outlook 2010, or Spelling Tab in Outlook 2007; Step 3: Then click the Spelling and AutoCorrect... button in right area |
What if you really only want to type ANA and not have the all of the corporation name. Can you override the proofing? |
There are two options to resolve this issue.

Do shortcuts work for all new documents once they are saved? |
Yes |
Do the two files need to be open at the same time to update changes? (with the link in word) |
No. If you update the Excel file and save it you will get this message when you open the Word document. Click on Yes and it will refresh the link. |

Will Intuit provide a scaled version of Profile between the full version and Turbo-tax 20? If yes, what is the pricing? |
We have a scaled down version of ProFile called ProFile 20. Cost is $230+ taxes. Additional information is here. |
Can Profile carry BACK tax information. This would save time in reentering information to a prior return, after having entered it into the current year for T1013 purposes. |
At the moment we do not have any feature that can take the info back to a prior Tax return. The copy and paste option will have to be used. |
Profile has a screen size issue with my Microsoft Surface. Are other tablets recommended by Intuit, or is a fix in the works? |
There is a patch release that addresses high-resolution screens and tablets. It’s part of the re-platform for the 2018 software. |
Will the GIFI codes be available for T1 returns soon in QBO? |
At the moment they are coded for T2 returns. This has been a request and currently in consideration for self-employment returns in the T1 Module. |
Does Profile import data from Visual Tax? |
We current do not have an automatic option for carryforwards in Visual Tax. We have worked in the past with some customers to bring the files manually into ProFile. |
How many years back can you go with Profile 20? |
You can work with 2015, 2016, and 2017 T1/TP1 returns currently. |
This software seems to be advantageous only for QBO clients? |
It works with QBOA and QB desktop and it can import the GIFIs from Caseware, Simply Accounting, and any software that exports the GIFI. |
How to use the Profile database to find out which T1 has not been filed yet. |
