What happens after I register for online training?

Upon completing the registration process, you will receive an email confirming your registration along with instructions on how to join your training session.

Registration confirmations from K2 Enterprises are for sessions hosted with ON24, and you will also receive follow-up confirmation emails two days in advance of your training, and two hours in advance of your training.

Registration confirmations from CalCPA are for sessions hosted with the Education Foundation, and you can login to your account at www.calcpa.org/my-account/my-profile/my-events anytime to confirm information about your session.
 
 
Can I substitute another person into a training session for which I am scheduled?

We will award CPE credit in the name of the person who registered for the webinar. Thus, if you find that you are unable to attend, and you would like to substitute someone else on your behalf, you can do so, but that person will not receive CPE credit. For a different participant to receive credit, you should cancel your registration, and the person who will be attending should register on their behalf. The cancellation of a webinar is the same as any other course we offer.
 
How do I connect to my online training session?

After you register for an event, you will receive a course confirmation email. Follow the steps outlined in the email to join the online training session. We use different hosting providers, so please follow the confirmation email directions.
How do I hear the audio portion of my online training?
The audio is played directly on your device.
 
 
How early may I login to my online training session?


You may login to your online training session up to fifteen minutes in advance of the designated start time.
Will I receive a handout or a book for my training event?

Course material is available during and after the session by using the links provided in the events Resources pane.
Course material is available three days before the event at www.community.calcpa.org/s/activities
If I register for an event, can I later cancel that registration?
Please contact your provincial association for cancellation policy information.

When you purchase a session directly from our store, you can cancel registration up to one business day before the scheduled start time.
 
What training platform do you use to deliver your web-based training?

K2 uses two platforms to provide web-based training, the Education Foundation and ON24. These solutions work with virtually all computers and provide an exceptional learning environment for participants.

Which web browser is recommended?
You can attend with any device using your web browser. For best results, we recommend using either Firefox, Chrome, Safari or the new Edge browser. Firefox does provide a picture in picture option that works well when attending a session hosted with ON24.

Pressing F11 will provide a full-screen view of the webpage, press F11 again to return to the standard view. Please ensure popups are enabled.
 
Can I ask questions during one of your online training events?

Yes, you can ask questions of your instructor using the “Q&A” pane on the left of the screen or by clicking the icon along the bottom of the screen.

For on-demand sessions, please use the Q&A panel to ask any questions you may have. We will respond via email within 24 hours during office hours.
Yes, you can ask questions using the “Ask the Instructor” tab at the top of the screen.
 
Will I receive a completion certificate upon completing an online training course?

Within twenty-four hours of completing the online event, you will receive a course completion certificate via email. Please retain the email as it serves as your course completion certificate.
Certificates can be accessed 3 - 5 business days after course completion at
www.community.calcpa.org/s/mycpetracker
 
Do I have to pass a test to complete one of your online training courses and earn CPE/CPD credit?

No testing is required to complete a K2 online training course and earn CPE credit. However, at intervals during the presentation, you will need to respond to attendance checks to confirm your attendance and active participation in the event. There is a minimum of three attendance checks per CPE/CPD credit hour. You must respond to at least 75% of these polls to receive full CPE credit for the program.
 
Do I have to pass a test to complete one of your on-demand training courses and earn CPE/CPD credit?

For an on-demand online training course, you must correctly answer at least 70% of the CPE Final Exam to earn CPE credit for the course. The CPE Final Exam panel, on the left-hand side of the webcast page, can be resized to make viewing and answering the questions more manageable.

You may take the exam up to ten times before your course expiration date, which is one year from the date you purchased the course.

Once you have passed the final exam, we will email your Course Completion Certificate within 24 hours. You should keep the email for your permanent record of completing this CPE program and earning your CPE credits.
