What happens after I register for online training?

Upon completing the registration process, you will receive an email confirming your registration along with instructions on how to join your training session or access your on demand course. 

Can I substitute another person into a training session for which I am scheduled?

We will award CPD/CPE credit in the name of the person who registered for the webinar. If you find that you are unable to attend and want to substitute someone else, you can do so, but that person will not receive CPD/CPE credit. For a different participant to receive credit, you should cancel your registration, and the person who will be attending should register themselves.  Contact webinars@k2e.ca for support. 

How do I connect to my online training session?

After you register for an event, you will receive a course confirmation email. Follow the steps outlined in the email to join the online training session.

How do I hear the audio portion of my online training?

The audio is played directly on your device.

How early may I log in to my live online training session?

You may log in to your live online training session up to fifteen minutes in advance of the designated start time.

Will I receive a handout or a book for my training event?

Course material is available during and after the session by using the links provided in the event's Resources pane.

If I register for an event, can I later cancel that registration?

Please contact your provincial association for cancellation policy information. When you purchase a session directly from our store, you can cancel registration up to one business day before the scheduled start time.  Contact webinars@k2e.ca

What training platform do you use to deliver your web-based training?

All on demand courses are hosted on the CPE Today learning platform to ensure reliability and current course content. Live webinars may be hosted on platforms such as Zoom, Teams, or other common platforms.

How can I determine if my computer will work with your training platform?

Before participating in an online training event, you can test your connection speed using https://www.speedtest.net/ 

Our experience suggests that speeds below 20Mbps are not adequate for two-way interaction.  In this case ensure you have a strong enough connection prior to the session.

Can I participate in an online training session using my iPad or Android-powered tablet?

Yes, most devices support our live webinars. We recommend testing the webinar link prior to the session. 

Which web browser is recommended?

You can attend with any device using your web browser. For best results, we recommend using either Firefox, Chrome, Safari, or Microsoft Edge. Pressing F11 will provide a full-screen view of the webpage; press F11 again to return to the standard view. Please ensure popups are enabled.

Can I ask questions during one of your online training events?

Yes, you can ask questions of your instructor using the “Q&A” pane on the left of the screen or by clicking the icon along the bottom of the screen. For on demand sessions, please use the Q&A panel to ask any questions you may have. We will respond via email within 24 hours during office hours.

Will I receive a completion certificate upon completing an online training course?

Within twenty-four hours of completing the online event, you will receive a course completion certificate via email. Please retain the email as it serves as your Course Completion Certificate.

Do I have to pass a test to complete one of your live online training courses and earn CPE/CPD credit?

No testing is required to complete a K2 live online training course and earn CPD/CPE credit. However, during the presentation, you will need to respond to attendance checks to confirm your attendance and active participation. 

Do I have to pass a test to complete one of your on demand training courses and earn CPE/CPD credit?

For an on demand online training course, you must correctly answer at least 70% of the CPE Final Exam to earn CPD/CPE credit. The CPE Final Exam panel on the webcast page can be resized for easier viewing and answering. You may take the exam up to ten times before your course expiration date, which is one year from the date you purchased the course. Once you have passed the final exam, we will email your Course Completion Certificate within 24 hours. Keep this email for your records.

Who should I contact if I have issues connecting to the session?

Please log in to the live online training session at least 15 minutes before it begins. If you have any issues, someone will be available through Q&A to assist you. If you are still having problems, please contact support at webinars@k2e.ca or call 289-427-5890.
