TEACHING MATERIALS
This is the tenth in a series of sessions that will provide you with the information you need to improve your productivity. With the introduction of Adobe Acrobat DC, Adobe changed the game on how we work with PDF documents. More than just “another new software version,” Acrobat DC offers a number of new outstanding productivity features that you will want to take advantage of. These features, coupled with significant changes in licensing, means that Acrobat DC is a substantially different product than its predecessors. Join us in this session to learn how to take advantage of all that Acrobat DC has to offer.

Learning Objectives

  • Distinguish between Acrobat DC and its predecessors and between the Standard, Pro, and subscription-based offerings within the Acrobat DC family
  • Utilize new features in Acrobat DC, including sending and tracking documents online and collecting e-signatures on PDFs
  • Edit and markup PDFs using Acrobat DC's re-designed user interface
  • Collaborate on PDFs with others using Acrobat DC's Cloud options

Managing Orders - Adagio's Operational Approach

Picture
Often, when accountants are asked to recommend accounting software, they go with the products they know. But the entry level products have very severe limitations when it comes to order management and invoicing. This session will provide an overview of how Adagio OrderEntry can assist an organization to manage their sales orders and inventory.

Sales orders allow:
  • companies to forecast inventory needs
  • accurate tracking of customer by product sales
  • accurate management of returns and credits
  • easy and accurate pricing and invoicing

Adagio OrderEntry can be configured to meet many different organizational workflows. Sales orders can be entered in advance and inventory committed prior to invoicing. Partial shipments can be released without losing the original order. Credit cards can be securely stored and charged. Future and Standing orders ease data entry. RMA's track returned goods and can generate Credit Notes when the goods arrive. Orders can be downloaded from a webstore and bulk invoiced where needed. Tight integration with Adagio Receivables manages customer credit limits.

Learning Objectives

  • Consider operational requirements of organizations that sell "things"
  • Learn about operational workflows
  • Learn B2B differs from B2C pricing
  • See how Adagio OrderEntry integrates with Receivables, Inventory, PurchaseOrders and SalesCQ

Adobe Acrobat Questions
Answers
For the stand alone one-time purchase, must it be renewed every year? And what happens if there are updates?
The one-time purchase software does not have to be renewed every year and it receives only security updates. You can subscribe to just the online tools which is $5.99 USD a month.
When extracting pages, what does the other checkbox (extract pages as separate files) do? It doesn't seem to work for me.
When extracting more than one page it puts each page into a separate PDF file.
What about signatures for CRA?
CRA recommends the use of digital signatures in many of it keeping records documentation. However the form T183 cannot be signed digital per this page.
For a legal digital signature is it required that a "facsimile picture" of your hand signature using a "digital pen" be included?
The “facsimile picture” is not required, it is your digital ID being applied to the document that is signing the document.
