Mona Sullivan, CPB
Mona started in the computer industry in late 1980’s. She took a number of computer courses and soon realized that she needed to be in the accounting software consulting business. At that point she became certified in a number of different accounting programs including: Bedford/Simply accounting, MYOB accounting, QuickBooks Accpac and more. In 2001 she won MYOB Canadian Consultant of the year. She has seen many changes over the years, in both accounting software and productivity software, such as Excel. She currently holds certification from Intuit and Certified Professional Bookkeepers of Canada.
It was the early 1990’s that she started her own consulting /bookkeeping business that served many small to medium sized business.
In the early 2000’s she joined Conestoga College in Kitchener as a part-time Professor / Instructor. She took a few years off from teaching to be the accountant for KW Oktoberfest, but realized she missed teaching, so returned to Conestoga College and continues to be a professor.
Mona is from the Niagara area, but now lives with her husband Andrew, in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario.
